COVID-19 Update

7th September 2021

Great news, with our collective efforts this means we can start to add back another layer of normality into our lives, and hopefully our friends, family and colleagues in Auckland will be joining us soon.

As we move to a reduced alert level tomorrow, Wednesday 8th September, we are making a few changes to how we will operate, in line with the Government’s recommendations during Delta Alert Level 2, continuing to maintain the high levels of protection for our staff and clients.

How we will be operating at Delta Alert Level 2:
• Clinic buildings are now open but with limited access and clearly designated client areas to maintain social distancing, for the safety of both you and our teams.
• Wearing a mask when in clinic will be mandatory.
• On-farm services will continue to respect 2 metre social distancing and PPE as required.
• Please ensure that you scan our Covid-19 QR Code when entering our clinics.
• Contactless payment remains our preferred option
• We still encourage you to pre order products from us over the phone or to utilise our Click & Collect service for pet products.

Please call us and let us know if you are feeling unwell as we will work through alternative ways to make sure your animals get the care they need.

With a hold on many services over the past few weeks, we need your ongoing understanding and patience as we work through the backlog and reschedule previously deferred work and prioritise clients based on the urgency of their animal’s healthcare needs.

Our Click & Collect Service continues
Pet food, Black Hawk Working Dog food, treats, toys, flea and worm treatments can be ordered online vetent.shop. We provide a zero-contact collection service, as follows:
• Complete our online Click & Collect ordering process.
• Retain your order confirmation email with order number and preferred clinic details.
• Once you arrive at our clinic for collection, please remain in your car and call us with your order number and name.
• Once confirmed a member of our team will bring your order out to you in your car.

Your continued patience and understanding as we work through COVID-19 Delta Alert Level 2 changes is greatly appreciated.

If you have any questions or concerns please call your local clinic immediately.

Yours faithfully,
Richard Bartley

31st  August 2021

Thank you for supporting our efforts over the past 2 weeks as we provided essential services to your animals during Alert Level 4 lockdown.

As we move to a reduced alert level tomorrow, Wednesday 1st September, we are making changes to how we will operate, to provide you with increased services, whilst continuing to maintain the high levels of protection for our staff and clients.

Changes to our services at Alert Level 3

We can now provide more routine and non-essential services whilst maintaining safe work practices, for example, pet neutering, dentals and vaccinations; and on-farm services that may have been put on hold due to the Alert Level 4 restrictions. We look forward to continuing to provide our services to ensure the ongoing health and comfort of your animals.

With a hold on these services over the past 2 weeks, we will need your understanding and patience as we schedule previously deferred work and prioritise clients based on the urgency of their animal’s healthcare needs.

As always, we appreciate your ongoing support with the following:
• Our car parks remain as our waiting rooms. Please phone when you arrive.
• Clinic buildings remain closed to the public.
• We have contactless payment options. We will not be handling cash.
• To reduce the need for signatures, your verbal consent will be requested and recorded instead.
• Please let us know if you pose a risk to our team, are immune compromised, or high risk. We will work through alternative ways to make sure your animal gets the care they need.

What follows is the same as the last communication, dated 24th August, included again for your convenience and friendly reminder.

Please phone first
This helps us correctly conduct telemedicine consultations, prioritise sick patients and emergencies first, create a plan for you and your animals and prepare your orders. This ensures we can get what you need faster and without you having to wait or come into contact with other clients.

Repeat prescriptions – Call & Collect Service
It is important for you to continue to be able to provide prescribed medications to your farm animals and pets. If you are running low of required restricted veterinary medicines, please phone and discuss delivery or pick-up options with your local VetEnt clinic.

Pet products and nutrition – Click & Collect Service
Pet food, Black Hawk Working Dog food, treats, toys, flea and worm treatments can be ordered online www.vetent.shop.

Farm animal products – Call & Collect Service
If you require vaccines, drench, dog food, minerals etc, please phone your local VetEnt Commercial Advisor to discuss delivery or pick-up options from your local VetEnt clinic.

On-farm services – Social Distancing & QR Codes
Please continue to respect 2 metre social distancing and wear PPE if the job means we need to work more closely with you. Also, ensure your QR Code is in a prominent place for our team to scan upon arrival.

Your continued patience and understanding as we work through COVID-19 Alert Level 3 changes is appreciated by all our frontline staff.

If you have any questions or concerns please call your local clinic immediately.

Yours faithfully,
Richard Bartley

24th August 2021

I would like to personally thank you for your ongoing patience and kindness towards our team. Running separate bubbles during Alert Level 4 has resulted in our on the ground teams having less capacity than the current workload being experienced. Whilst the protection of both our staff and yourselves is paramount, it does at times impact our normal fast and efficient service delivery. So we appreciate your extra understanding during this time, and rest assured we are doing our very best.

Please phone first
Whilst we may not be able to answer all calls straight away, due to reduced staff levels, it is essential that you do call ahead before arrival at the clinic. This helps us correctly conduct telemedicine consultations, prioritise sick patients and emergencies first, create a plan for you and your animals and prepare your orders. This ensures we can get what you need faster and without you having to wait or come into contact with other clients.

Non-urgent, routine pet procedures - Rescheduling
Rescheduling of non-emergency, routine pet procedures (e.g. neutering, dentals, vaccinations, annual pet health checks), that would not lead to compromising animal welfare, may be needed to enable us to focus and prioritise emergency care in our clinics.

Repeat prescriptions – Call & Collect Service

On-farm services – Social Distancing

As always, we appreciate your ongoing support with the following:
• Our current waiting rooms are our car parks. Please phone when you arrive.
• Clinic buildings will be closed to the public.
• We have contactless payment options. We will not be handling cash.
• To reduce the need for signatures, your verbal consent will be requested and recorded instead.

18th August 2021

As an essential business, operating during Alert Level 4, how we operate will be different both on farm and in clinic.

The service we provide will be similar, but the way we interact has changed. We take the health and protection of our clients and staff very seriously and need to ensure everyone’s safety comes first. We already have strong hygiene protocols in place at the clinic and on farm but will be applying additional measures during increased Alert Levels to further minimise any potential risks.

If you are visiting the clinic please ensure that you phone ahead. This will help us conduct telemedicine, prioritise sick patients and emergencies first, create a plan for you, your pet, or your farm, and will ensure we can get what you need faster and without you having to wait or come into contact with other clients. We may need to reschedule non-essential services, including neutering, vaccinations, puppy pre-school and dentals.

We would appreciate your support with the following:
• Phone first please, for everything.
• Our new waiting rooms will be the car park. Please phone in when you arrive and we can work through your next steps.
• Clinic buildings will be closed with controlled access.
• We have contactless payment options and will not be handling cash.
• To reduce the need for signatures, your verbal consent will be requested and recorded instead of a signature.
• Please let us know if you pose a risk to our team, are immune compromised, or high risk - we will work through alternative ways to make sure your animal gets the care it needs.

We also continue to offer our Click & Collect Service for essential pet food and flea & worm treatments. During Covid-19 Alert levels 3 & 4 we will be providing a zero contact collection service via the following steps:
• Complete our online click and collect ordering process
• Retain your order confirmation email with order number and preferred clinic details
• Once you arrive at our clinic for collection, please remain in your car and call us with your order number and name
• Once confirmed a member of our team will bring your order out to you in your car

Place your Click & Collect order here www.vetent.shop.

For our farming clients, we ask that you respect the 2 metre social distancing and do let us know that you are happy for us to come on farm. Our team will call before they arrive.

Our teams are working hard to provide essential service and would appreciate your patience and kindness during this time.

Thanks for your cooperation as we navigate our way through COVID-19 Alert Level 4.

If you have any questions or concerns please call your local clinic immediately
