Companion Animal Veterinarian 

Located: Gisborne

We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly companion animal veterinarian to join our team in Gisborne.This is a full-time position but could be a part-time position for the right candidate (not less than 30 hours per week).

Receptionist/ Administration Support

Located: Te Awamutu

About the role:

Do you love interacting with people, and want to provide outstanding service to customers?

We are looking for someone to be our face of the front of house, someone vibrant, outgoing, who can show considerable initiative. 

Compassion, warmth, welcoming are all words that will spring to mind with this full-time role, which is 40 hours per week.  On a rostered basis, the successful applicant will also work later on a Monday night and Saturday morning clinic.  Experience in a retail environment and knowledge of animal health products would be an advantage, as would a veterinary nursing qualification.

This role will involve:

  • Providing welcoming and friendly, exemplary customer service
  • Assisting customers with retail/product sales and queries
  • Accurately logging sales into our computer system and charging the customer using the preferred payment system, i.e. eftpos, credit card or cash
  • Maintaining a clean and well presented retail area, having strong input into the display and delivery of promotions and services
  • Providing administrative support for the Vets and Vet Nurses
  • Managing the appointment diary for the team
  • Assisting with stock takes

Large Animal Veterinarian 

Located: Te Kuiti

About the role:

To help us to continue to do this and maintain our market leading position, we are looking for a Large Animal Veterinarian to roll up their sleeves and join our Te Kuiti clinic. The clinic has a great team of progressive nurses and veterinarians.  The clients are predominantly sheep and beef/dairy grazing farmers with deer also being part of the caseload. Dairy work is largely handled by other members of the local team, therefore experience would be a benefit but it is not essential. The clients are a great blend of tech savvy go-getters, and the salt of the earth who love to offer you a cup of tea and a batch of scones.

Originally a railway town, Te Kuiti promotes itself as the "Shearing Capital of the World". Home to both Colin Meads and the shearing legend David Fagan, Te Kuiti is truly heartland New Zealand. For the outdoor inclined, there are plenty of hunting opportunities, and both fresh and saltwater fishing are not too far away. Supply Chain/ Accounts Payable Assistant 

Located: Te Awamutu

About the role:

We are currently looking for a Supply Chain/Accounts Payable Assistant to join our finance team based in our head office in Te Awamutu.

This is a full time role that requires someone who is keen, enthusiastic and willing to get involved in a wide range of duties within the team.  

Previous experience in an office environment including data entry is desirable, as is knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.  The successful applicant will have an eye for detail and a can-do attitude.

Your duties will include

  • Placement of orders to ensure stock is available for veterinary and retail usage
  • Receiving, verifying, and entering supplier invoices into the accounting system
  • Assisting with Accounts Payable functions and duties
  • Matching supplier invoices/quotes with purchase orders and investigating variances
  • Processing orders through the appropriate systems on a daily basis
  • Reconciling supplier invoices to monthly statements

This role is a busy position in which the volume of work will be high and there will be a variety of additional tasks to keep you challenged.

Wellness Programme Coordinator

The Wellness Programme Coordinator is a new role responsible for the end-to-end management of our wellness membership programme, ‘PetFirst’. Reporting to the Companion Animal Business Manager, the role will drive the PetFirst programme throughout all VetEnt clinics with a key focus on developing and guiding our teams to achieve and maintain optimal performance whilst ensuring the delivery of exceptional client and patient care.

This is a full time role based in Te Awamutu and there will be a requirement to travel given the nature of the role.

You will be responsible for prioritising and allocating resources to successfully achieve the programmes’ financial and strategic objectives.

Working alongside the clinic teams, you will facilitate the integration and implementation of the programme across all clinics to deliver on achieving excellent standards of care and customer satisfaction which mirrors VetEnt’s mission, values and high standards of care.

Qualifications and experience sought:

  •     Veterinary nursing experience (highly desirable).
