Commercial Sales Advisor

Located: Te Kuiti

About the role: 

VetEnt is seeking an experienced Commercial Sales Advisor to join our team, based out of our Te Kuiti clinic. This is a fulltime role that will provide services for primarily sheep and beef farm clients as well as some dairy and deer clients in the Northern King Country region.

Reporting to the Hub Operations Leader this role complements our delivery of veterinary services by providing ethical product stewardship for commercial animal health remedies and provides strong technical product knowledge for farmers. You will have the ability to build trust and maintain strong client relationships as well as being able to meet sales targets.

The role would require knowledge and experience in the animal health and farming sector and someone who is a strong team player.  Based in Te Kuiti, the role involves an in-clinic presence as well as farm visits. Ongoing CPD is provided to all of our staff to remain up to date with products and animal health developments.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in the rural industry with an ability to relate to farmers
  • Drive to help farmers and their business succeed
  • The ability to explain the features/benefits of technical products
  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of animal nutrition, animal health and pasture management would be an advantage for this role.

Finance Manager

Located: Te Awamutu

About the role:

This is a pivotal senior finance role where you will be expected to influence, challenge and provide high quality, valued advice to the business. This position requires a dynamic, forward thinker with strong commercial acumen and IT skills.

The Finance Manager will provide high level financial accounting and advisory services and will be supporting the management team. This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. You will have the ability to use your initiative to help improve processes and procedures. This role is ideal for someone with a can-do attitude and who is able to take ownership of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly management reporting and assist with year end financial reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting practices.
  • Involved in key strategic business decisions.
  • Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting, including co-ordination of regional and branch budgets.
  • Review and update finance policies, controls, and procedures to comply with good practice.
  • Preparation of business cases and financial modelling.
  • Cost benefit analysis.
  • Continual review and enhancement of core financial systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to present to the Board in a confident and competent manner.
  • Oversight of the Financial Accountant and their direct reports.
  • Ad hoc projects

Key Requirements:

  • 8-10 years experience in management/financial accounting roles.
  • CA qualification is essential.
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate financial information to senior management and Board members.
  • Experience in operational planning, budget management and financial reporting.
  • Strong business partnering skills and the ability to provide financial advice to the wider business.
  • Effective time management and the ability to work to deadlines.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and to show initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people across the business.
  • The ability to operate with a high level of initiative and drive.

Mixed Animal Veterinarian

Located: Turangi

VetEnt has an exciting opportunity for a full-time veterinarian to join our practice in Turangi as a Companion Animal and/or Mixed Animal Veterinarian. This is a sole-charge position, with support from our clinic in Taumarunui, which is 45 minutes away.

We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, has a positive ‘can do’ attitude and has excellent communication skills with a strong customer service ethic.

Turangi is a small but well-appointed clinic, nestled in the small rural town of Turangi on the shores of Lake Taupo with great access to rivers and forests; it's a popular trout fishing and hunting destination. Winter skiing is within reach with Mount Ruapehu to the south.

The clinic has a steady companion animal business and a large animal caseload that is predominantly sheep and beef, but a mix of the workload can be considered for the right candidate.

Mixed Animal Veterinarian

Located: Wanaka

VetEnt Wanaka has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic mixed animal veterinarian to join our team. This is a full time position and requires a candidate who is a team player that is willing to get involved in all aspects of veterinary work.

Located in Wanaka you have the mountains, ski fields and lakes on your doorstep making this paradise for those who love to work in a great region with the great outdoors as a backdrop.

The Wanaka clinic is very well equipped and has a great team of progressive nurses and experienced veterinarians. Our caseload includes a busy small animal clinic and a mix of deer, dairy and sheep & beef for large animals.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • 2 – 5 years veterinary experience
  • Experience in dairy work is ideal, although not a deal breaker
  • You should be organised, self-motivated, enjoy learning on the job and have a positive 'can do' attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A strong customer service ethic
