Administration Support 

Located: Darfield

About the role:

We are currently looking for a part time energetic Administration Support person to join the team at VetEnt Darfield.  Based in a modern veterinary clinic you will be part of the busy team in a high tempo environment, providing exceptional customer service to farming and companion animal clients. The successful applicant will work 26 hours per week, working on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.  They will also work on a rostered Saturday basis.

This role will involve but is not limited to

  • Providing welcoming and friendly customer service
  • Assisting customers with retail/product sales and queries
  • Accurately logging sales into our computer system and charging the customer using the preferred payment system, i.e. eftpos, credit card or cash
  • Maintaining a clean and well-presented retail area
  • Carrying out varied administrative tasks and assisting the clinic co-ordinator and other management where required
  • Assist with handling and restraining animals when required
  • Managing the appointment diary for the team
  • Assisting with stock takes, goods inwards/outwards

To be successful in your application we require someone with great relationship skills, time management, attention to detail and reliability. You will also need to be keen, enthusiastic and willing to get involved. Experience in a retail environment, knowledge of the rural sector and animal health products would be an advantage, as would a veterinary nursing qualification.

Mixed Animal Veterinarian

Part Time Adminstration Support/ Vet Nurse

Located: Queenstown 

About the role:

We are looking for a friendly, organised and experienced Administration Support/Vet Nurse person for VetEnt Queenstown on a part-time basis.  This is a fixed term position for approximately 4 months while an employee on leave with the potential to turn into a casual role in the future. The successful applicant will work 15 hours per week, 10am to 2pm Wednesday to Friday and 9am to 2pm on Saturday.

This role will involve:

  • Providing welcoming and friendly customer service
  • Assisting customers with retail/product queries

  • Maintaining a clean and organised retail area
  • Providing administrative support for our Vets and Vet Nurse
  • Managing the appointment diary

  • Unpacking and reconciling stock

To be successful in your application we require someone with great relationship skills, time management, attention to detail and reliability.  You will also need to be keen, enthusiastic and willing to get involved. Experience in a retail environment and knowledge of animal health products would be an advantage, as would a veterinary nursing qualification.

Large Animal Veterinarian

Located: Ashburton

VetEnt Ashburton (Riverside) has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic large animal veterinarian to join our team! This is a full time position which requires a candidate who is a team player and is willing to get involved in all aspects of veterinary work.
We are looking for an energetic team player who will complement our team well.  Ashburton is a perfect location for anyone who wants the best of both worlds with access to countless outdoor recreational activities including skiing – there are several well known ski fields nearby. It is a great area for families and keen outdoor enthusiasts.

Our clinic is well equipped and has a great team of progressive nurses and veterinarians.  Our Large Animal caseload is predominantly dairy with scope to get involved with deer and sheep & beef.
