Companion Animal Veterinarian 

Located: Lincoln

We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly companion animal veterinarian to join our team in Lincoln. This is a part-time position for approximately 24-32 hours per week, which includes working 1 in 4 Saturday clinics. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work at our Leeston clinic, if required.

We are looking for an energetic team player who will complement our team well. Lincoln is a perfect location for anyone who wants the best of both worlds with access to countless outdoor recreational activities. It is a great area for families and keen outdoor enthusiasts.

Companion Animal Veterinarian 

Located: Ferrymead

We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly companion animal veterinarian to join our team in Ferrymead.  This is a part-time position for approximately 27 hours per week, excluding rostered Saturday clinic.  The successful candidate will work a full day on Monday and Friday afternoon, the other days and times can be negotiated. This is also a great opportunity to develop your skills by being mentored by a senior vet.

Receptionist/Support Position - (Fixed-Term)

Located: Taumarunui

Do you love interacting with people, and want to provide outstanding service to customers?

We are looking for someone to be our face of the front of house, someone vibrant, outgoing, who can show considerable initiative.

Compassion, warmth, welcoming are all words that will spring to mind with this fixed-term role for 12 months, which is for 3 days (24 hours) per week. On a rostered basis, the successful applicant will also work at the Saturday morning clinic and be flexible to work additional hours, if required. Experience in a retail environment and knowledge of animal health products would be an advantage, as would a veterinary nursing qualification.

This role will involve:

  • Providing welcoming and friendly, exemplary customer service
  • Assisting customers with retail/product sales and queries
  • Accurately logging sales into our computer system and charging the customer using the preferred payment system, i.e. eftpos, credit card or cash
  • Maintaining a clean and well-presented retail area, having strong input into the display and delivery of promotions and services
  • Providing administrative support for the Vets and Vet Nurses
  • Managing the appointment diary for the team
  • Assisting with stock takes

Full-time Veterinary Nurse 

Located: Ashburton

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our team in our well-equipped, small animal clinic. This is a full time position plus rostered Saturday morning clinics.

Our ideal candidate will also possess the following attributes and skills:

  • Work well individually and as part of a close team
  • Keen to drive the nursing role and get involved with all aspects of the clinic
  • Passionate about outstanding client and patient care
  • Great communication skills
  • Compassionate, understanding and friendly with an outgoing personality!

To be successful with your application, you will have a Certificate or Diploma in Veterinary Nursing and at least two years' experience working in a small animal clinic.

Large Animal Veterinarian 

Located: Te Kuiti

About the role:

To help us to continue to do this and maintain our market leading position, we are looking for a Large Animal Veterinarian to roll up their sleeves and join our Te Kuiti clinic. The clinic has a great team of progressive nurses and veterinarians.  The clients are predominantly sheep and beef/dairy grazing farmers with deer also being part of the caseload. Dairy work is largely handled by other members of the local team, therefore experience would be a benefit but it is not essential. The clients are a great blend of tech savvy go-getters, and the salt of the earth who love to offer you a cup of tea and a batch of scones.

Originally a railway town, Te Kuiti promotes itself as the "Shearing Capital of the World". Home to both Colin Meads and the shearing legend David Fagan, Te Kuiti is truly heartland New Zealand. For the outdoor inclined, there are plenty of hunting opportunities, and both fresh and saltwater fishing are not too far away. Rock climbing, caving and mountain biking are all easy to access, and it isn’t far for skiing on Ruapehu in the winter.
