Receptionist / Support Position

Located: Te Awamutu

About the role:

Are you enthusiastic, attentive and a quick learner? Are you good at building relationships, have great time management and also want to work with an awesome team of people? We have the opportunity for you.

Your focus will be to provide exceptional front of house service to our Farming and Pet Clients and provide a link between our clients and veterinary teams.

Assistant Management Accountant

Located: Te Awamutu

About the role:

We are currently looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team based in our head office in Te Awamutu. Reporting to our Finance Team Leader, the Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the preparation and analysis of business reporting
  • Supporting the preparation of forecasts and budgets
  • Providing accounting support to our research department and subsidiary companies
  • Providing support to the Financial Accountant with general accounting work where required.

This role is an opportunity for someone to grow their management accounting skills on the job. Accounting degree qualified or two+ years accounting experience. A sound understanding of Excel functionality is essential.

Large Animal Veterinarian

Located: Ashburton

About the role:

VetEnt Ashburton (Riverside) has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic large animal veterinarian to join our team! This is a full time position which requires a candidate who is a team player and is willing to get involved in all aspects of veterinary work.
We are looking for an energetic team player who will complement our team well.  Ashburton is a perfect location for anyone who wants the best of both worlds with access to countless outdoor recreational activities including skiing – there are several well known ski fields nearby. It is a great area for families and keen outdoor enthusiasts.

Our clinic is well equipped and has a great team of progressive nurses and veterinarians.  Our Large Animal caseload is predominantly dairy with scope to get involved with deer and sheep & beef.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • 0 - 2 years veterinary experience. 
  • Experience in dairy work is ideal, although not a deal breaker
  • You should be organised, self-motivated, enjoy learning on the job and have a positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Companion Animal Veterinarian 

Located: Lincoln

We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly companion animal veterinarian to join our team in Lincoln. This is a part-time position for approximately 24-32 hours per week, which includes working 1 in 4 Saturday clinics. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work at our Leeston clinic, if required.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly companion animal veterinarian to join our team in Ferrymead.  This is a part-time position for approximately 27 hours per week, excluding rostered Saturday clinic.  The successful candidate will work a full day on Monday and Friday afternoon, the other days and times can be negotiated. This is also a great opportunity to develop your skills by being mentored by a senior vet.

Large Animal Veterinarian 

Located: Te Kuiti

About the role:

The veterinary industry is changing continually, our equipment is state of the art and many of our services and products are innovative and ground breaking. We proudly provide these nationwide in modern vet clinics alongside rural and urban communities.

To help us to continue to do this and maintain our market leading position, we are looking for a Large Animal Veterinarian to roll up their sleeves and join our Te Kuiti clinic. The clinic has a great team of progressive nurses and veterinarians.  The clients are predominantly sheep and beef/dairy grazing farmers with deer also being part of the caseload. Dairy work is largely handled by other members of the local team, therefore experience would be a benefit but it is not essential. The clients are a great blend of tech savvy go-getters, and the salt of the earth who love to offer you a cup of tea and a batch of scones.

Originally a railway town, Te Kuiti promotes itself as the "Shearing Capital of the World". Home to both Colin Meads and the shearing legend David Fagan, Te Kuiti is truly heartland New Zealand. For the outdoor inclined, there are plenty of hunting opportunities, and both fresh and saltwater fishing are not too far away. Rock climbing, caving and mountain biking are all easy to access, and it isn’t far for skiing on Ruapehu in the winter.

To succeed in this role you will have:

  • 3+ years veterinary experience
  • Experience in sheep and beef work is essential
