Born in Auckland and raised on the family farm at Waikaretu, west of Huntly. Educated at New Plymouth Boys’ High School and qualifying at Massey University 1970. Worked in Huntly until 1981, including Senior Veterinarian for 3 years. Bought into Otorohanga Veterinary Services with Ian Livingstone in 1981 and with Ian and Don MacColl established Te Kuiti Veterinary Services in 1985.The business merger with clinics in Te Awamutu and Taumarunui saw Lindsay become a foundation shareholder of Veterinary Enterprises 1991 Ltd.Lindsay joined David Hayman working with Animal Breeding Consultants Ltd, a Veterinary Enterprises subsidiary, in 1995. An amalgamation with New Zealand Breeding Services Ltd saw the start of Animal Breeding Services Ltd. Lindsay worked with them until 2005 doing reproduction work including sheep, goats and cattle embryo recovery and transfer work in New Zealand and overseas. Also working with semen collection and processing of sheep, goats, and cattle and with a special interest in pigs, establishing a boar semen collection centre at Rukuhia.Lindsay joined Independent Veterinary Supplies Ltd, a Veterinary Enterprises subsidiary, as General Manager in 2005 for three years then acted as a Veterinary consultant to them until late 2009 when he joined the VetEnt team in Te Awamutu. Lindsay’s roles with VetEnt  include assisting with the Tb testing project; training technicians; is currently writing and updating SOP’s for technicians and veterinarian; and conducting Company audits.
