David Dodd
Veterinarian
Dave is our senior vet and apart from an initial 18 months in Hokitika has spent all his working life in Ranfurly. Dave lives with Kate on a 150 acre lifestyle block that occupies his time.  Being the sole vet for most for most of this time, spare time has been precious, but he is obsessive about quail hunting with his G.W.P’s.  When quail are not allowed, ducks, geese and trout are the targets.

Computers have always been a hobby of mine, so was an easy option to make it into a career.  Got a good foundation with 3 years at Waikato University and I got my first computer job in 1995.  Officially joined VetEnt in 2008 after a 6 year trial (part-time contracting from another company).

Veterinarian
Diana has lived in Te Kuiti for 16 years and initially worked for us in a graduate position for three years before starting her family. Diana and her husband live on a dairy farm at Rangitoto where they milk 2000 cows alongside their wider family. She has spent her last eight years looking after the herd in between raising their three children. With her youngest child now being 15 months old she is ready to come back and use her skills outside the farm. Although she has spent a lot of time working with her own cows over the last couple of years, her real passion is with cats and dogs. She loves working with clients as well as their pets and enjoys the variety and challenge of all aspects of the job, especially surgery. Outside of work the family has a friendly cat that the children have named RockyToby. She also loves to spend time with her family and friends, read sci-fi and fantasy novels and embark on travel adventures to any destination.

Vet Nurse
Di grew up on a small farm in Omarau and always wanted to work with animals. After gaining her veterinary nursing diploma in 2017 she worked for a number of years in suburban clinics. Recently moving to the Darfield area with her partner has allowed her to eagerly get back into the rural based role of vet nursing. She currently has two rescue dogs, Tom and Archie, with no doubt more to come as she has a passion for working dogs and working hospital cases. Her time away from work includes long bike rides, jet boating and baking.
