Karen has recently joined us after working at the Waikato DHB for eight years, where she worked within the Recruitment, Health and Safety and Property and Infrastructure teams. After looking for a change of direction outside the DHB she decided VetEnt Te Awamutu was the place to be. With a certificate in management and over 20 years’ experience owning her own business Karen brings copious amount of knowledge and experience to her role. With a particular interest in scheduling, health and safety plus working together as a team the one thing she enjoys most about her role is  that she meets a great variety of people. Outside of work Karen enjoys hiking, reading, traveling, playing bridge as well as enjoying down time with family and friends.

Kim grew up on a lifestyle block in South Auckland where she helped rear calves and lambs for calf club day. She also grew up riding horses, attending pony club and competing in show jumping. She studied a Certificate in Rural Animal Technology through Otago Polytechnic whilst also working for VetSouth, after a year of study and a cold winter she decided to move to the warmer climate of the Waikato, where she currently now works based out of our Otorohanga clinic. She loves being able to help animals on a daily basis, as well as helping our clients to create a more profitable and productive farm. She also enjoys calving season and heifer teat sealing. She owns one cat, one dog and two ponies, who all currently live with her parents in the South Island. Outside or work she enjoys working with horses and exploring new places around the country.
