• Minimal on calls required.  – Will be sometimes required to be on call between 5-7 and to do be available for on call for the After Hours Clinic in Chch a couple of times a year.  There will be an expectation to do one late night a week (10am-7pm)

The Position: 

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced consultation and surgical companion veterinarian to join our Darfield team.  If you’re someone who will pitch in to our team environment and support your colleagues, as well as provide knowledge and care for our client’s pets, this could be the role for you!

Our clinics are well equipped and access to the latest technology in a well-equipped practice and benefit from our networks and support structures across New Zealand. We have a team of excellent support staff, capable nurses, and great veterinarians who enjoy helping each other. Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional veterinary care to our furry patients, ensuring their well-being and quality of life.
• Build strong relationships with clients, offering guidance and support in their animal’s health journey.
• Collaborate with a skilled and compassionate team to deliver the highest standards of care.
• Pursue continuing education and stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine.
• Contribute to a positive and collaborative workplace culture where every team member thrives.
• Develop into a leadership position or continue to grow within your current skillset by learning from industry leaders.
• An in-house diagnostic including Ultrasound, Dental X-ray & full Idexx diagnostic suite
• Work with a nursing and support team who take standard of care to the next level!
